The Practice
Stand barefoot on a flat surface for 2 minutes per foot in week one, holding a wall or chair if you need to. Move to 5 minutes twice a day in week two, and only build toward about 15 minutes twice daily once that feels comfortable. Stop for sharp pain, numbness, or bruising.

Long-Term Practice
Week 1
Stand on the plate for 2 minutes per foot. Hold a wall or chair if needed. Expect mild discomfort — this is your nerves waking up.
Week 2
Twice a day — morning and evening — 5 minutes per session. Sensitivity reduces. You're conditioning the reflex points.
Month 1
Better sleep. Calmer digestion. Less stiffness in the morning. You start craving the practice instead of forcing it.
Month 3+
15 minutes twice daily becomes routine. Energy is steadier. Chronic pain reduces. You've built a wellness ritual that compounds.
Start with 2 minutes per foot. The first minute feels sharp. Add time only after a full week feels manageable. A longer session is not better if your feet go numb.
Skip it with open foot wounds, active infections, diabetic neuropathy, deep vein thrombosis, or during pregnancy unless a doctor clears it. It is a complementary practice, not medical treatment.
